DIN929 Hex Weld Nuts are high-precision German-standard projection welding fasteners, specially engineered for permanent metal sheet welding and integrated thread fixing. Adhering strictly to DIN 929 industrial specifications, this hexagonal welding nut features reserved welding projections on the bottom surface, which can form stable welding spots with metal plates through projection welding and spot welding processes. Different from ordinary loose hex nuts, it realizes one-piece fixed connection with the workpiece after welding, eliminating the problems of nut loosening, displacement and thread slipping during long-term equipment operation. With standard metric thread, accurate dimensional tolerance and excellent weldability, it is the preferred standard fastener for European-standard mechanical manufacturing, automotive production, electrical cabinet assembly and sheet metal structural engineering.
All raw materials strictly comply with DIN 929 standard material requirements. Low-carbon steel materials with excellent welding performance are selected for carbon steel weld nuts, featuring uniform texture, low impurity content and stable plastic deformation, which effectively avoids welding cracks and virtual welding defects. Stainless steel raw materials pass strict component detection to ensure corrosion resistance and structural toughness. Each batch of raw materials is sampled for hardness, tensile strength and surface quality testing, with complete material test certificates retained. Unqualified raw materials are completely eliminated to ensure that finished nuts have stable welding performance and meet German industrial assembly standards.
Quality Control & Production Flow
The whole production process is implemented in strict accordance with DIN 929 specifications: raw material incoming inspection → precision cold heading forming → thread precision tapping → welding projection finishing → deburring and cleaning → surface anti-corrosion treatment → full-size dimensional inspection → thread go-no-go gauge detection → welding performance sampling test → finished product packaging. The hexagonal outline and welding projection are precisely formed with consistent size and flat surface. The internal thread has complete tooth shape and accurate pitch, ensuring smooth matching with standard metric bolts. Batch sampling welding tests are carried out to verify tensile resistance and welding firmness, ensuring zero defective products delivered.
Welding & Installation Notes
DIN929 Hex Weld Nuts are dedicated for sheet metal projection welding, not suitable for ordinary bolt locking alone. Before welding, keep the nut welding surface and metal plate clean without oil stain, rust and paint, to ensure firm welding spot forming. Match standard welding current and pressure parameters according to plate thickness to avoid plate burn-through or insufficient welding strength. After welding, protect the thread part from welding spatter and high-temperature deformation to ensure subsequent bolt assembly accuracy. It is not recommended for repeated welding and disassembly scenarios to avoid fatigue damage to the welding base.
